MSSA 2026 TRADE FEST
Bringing Industry and Academia Together

In an exciting first for the South African microscopy community,

the MSSA 2026 Trade Fest was hosted at the University of the Witwatersrand,

bringing together industry partners, academic representatives and conference organisers

in a unique networking and engagement forum.

The event provided an invaluable opportunity for microscopy and spectroscopy trade partners

from across South Africa to connect with one another, engage with the academic community

and, importantly, meet the Stellenbosch-based convenors of the MSSA 2026 Conference.

Designed to encourage open dialogue, strengthen professional relationships

and foster collaboration, the Trade Fest created a platform for industry and academia

to exchange ideas, explore opportunities and build connections ahead of the conference.

More than just a meeting, the inaugural MSSA 2026 Trade Fest celebrated the partnerships t

hat drive microscopy and spectroscopy forward in South Africa,

setting the stage for an exciting and collaborative MSSA 2026 in Stellenbosch.
