42nd John Matthews Memorial Lecture
Title: STEM-DPC imaging of what is in between the atomic nuclei
Prof. Dr. Jörg K. N. Lindner
Nanopatterning Δ Nanoanalysis Δ Photonic Materials
Department of Physics, Paderborn University, Germany
Jörg Lindner received his PhD in Physics from Dortmund University in 1989 and did his habilitation in 2000 at Augsburg University, where he was appointed professor in 2008. In 2009 he became professor at Paderborn University, where he is heading a group for Nanopatterning, Nanoanalysis and Photonic Materials. He is also guest professor at the Ruhr-University in Bochum (Germany), on the board of directors of the Centre of Optoelectronics and Photonics Paderborn CeOPP, founding member and CEO of the Institute of Ultra-Light Weight Construction with Hybrid Systems ILH in Paderborn, since 1999 he is serving the board of European Materials Research Society EMRS and he is member of the editorial board of Springer Nature Applied Sciences. He is an expert on the ion beam modification of semiconductors, defects in solids and the fabrication of SiC thin films. His recent focus is on self-organization techniques for the formation of nanopatterns on solid surfaces, block copolymers, 2D-materials, and on (analytical) ultra-high resolution (scanning) transmission electron microscopy.
