The latter part of 2012 has arrived, and I’m sure that the first six months have gone by at a most alarming rate! At the new Centre for High Resolution Electron Microscopy (CHRTEM) at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, imaging of single atoms recently caused great excitement when viewed by means of the JEM-ARM 200F launched in October 2011.
